Why most of us have low self-confidence
We all suffer from a lack of self-confidence in some area of our life.
This is caused by the negative thoughts running through our minds like an endless recorder that we are not consciously aware of. We have between 60-70 thousands thoughts a day and only 10% of those thoughts are conscious.
According to research, as many as 98 percent of thoughts are exactly the same as we had the day before. Talk about creatures of habit! Even more significant, 80 percent of our thoughts are negative.
If this is the case and you are constantly bashing yourself with I’m not good enough, smart enough, attractive enough, skinny enough and on and on, you are creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I know, I’ve been there. I grew up in an environment where I was taught to feel inadequate, not enough, stupid, and basically like I should not exist. My thoughts patterns about myself were not very up-lifting. On the contrary, they were very debilitating and caused me to recreate negative situations in my life over and over again.
All these thoughts come from an underlying belief system which is the most powerful AND debilitating source we have!
Through a process of self-discovery coaching, I became aware of the negative thoughts that were running my life and was in a position to do something about it. I now have the tools to overcome this debilitating thought process which has allowed me to increase my self-confidence and get things done!
